We just spend 11 nights at the Riviera Caribe Maya and loved it! We are so happy that we didn't do the all-inclusive resort. We stayed in a Standard Plus room and were on the ground floor right off the pool. The place was spotless and the pool was beautiful. Very cheap to add on to the continental breakfast (coffee and oj was excellent). The staff were all friendly and helpful. I booked a tour through the front desk to Chichen Itza and thought it was excellent and good value. The beach was just a short walk (and it was a beatiful section of beach) and 5th Ave was just around the corner. We really liked being at the quieter end of town also. 10th Ave kinda noisy but hardly any traffic between 11pm and 6 am.

We have just returned from Playa Del Carmen ( March 2006) and spent the last four nights at the Hotel Riviera Caribe Maya.We found the hotel to be clean, the staff very friendly and especially helpful in booking side trips; they were interested in comments post excursion so that they could help fix the problem with the tour operator's and advise other guests. The price was modest. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. Kudo's to Betty and Gabby at the front desk for all of their good service.

My husband and I,my sister and brother and their respective spouses just came back from spending 7 nights and days at the Riviera Caribe Maya. We all so enjoyed ourselves!! We would definetely come back to stay again! You always wonder if a place will be as described on the internet and this place defintely was. The staff are great, the place is so very clean, our rooms were very nice and private. A FANTASTIC place for your Mexican vacation!

We spent 8 days here in July ( a few days before and a few days after hurricane Emily. The staff was so wonderful to us during this time, we felt like part of a family. Paula the owner, and Alfredo the manager along with ALL of the helpful staff members really went out of their way to take care of us during the hurricane..which only damaged some plant life. The hotel is solid concrete and was really a safe place to be. The hotel grounds were clean and pleasant. The pool was nice. The free internet was a real treat..The location on the quiet end of the main street was great. Nice restaurants..shops. The far end was too touristy for us. We really loved the gorgeous beach and beach club. Our five year old loved the kids pool at the beach club and my husband and I ate lunch on the patio while she swam. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here during Hurricane Emily and the staff took great care of the few guests that it had during the storm. Alfredo was great! He knew us right off the bat and was such a big help! The rest of the staff was quite courteous, always saying hola, and keeping their great hotel in order. It was close to everything and very cozy. The beach club was awesome. I loved this place and if we're lucky to go back to Playa we'll definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I spent a fantastic spring break with my two adult children with the Hotel Riviera Caribe Maya. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff was, and Alfredo was exceptionally friendly and helpful! The hotel is immaculate and a perfect sanctuary after a day on the beach and on the strip. The location is fantastic and the beach club is supberb. I would recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone and definitely will make return trips here. Thanks to all of you who made our stay so wonderful!!!

I just returned from my wonderful visit to the Riviera Caribe Maya and my heart is yearning to return like NOW!
I have been visiting Playa Del Carmen and surrounding area for over ten years and haved stayed at more expensive hotels and this is now my favorite. So just as I return to Playa every chance I get - I can truly say I will be returning to this hotel. I loved it! It is perfectly located, clean, pretty, cozy and great showers to boot!
I have to add it was a pleasure to meet the "famous" Alfredo.
